Without an iPod, I don’t have a sense of time in the morning anymore, and my phone dies quickly - so I don’t like keeping it on the entire night. I wake up really early now, thinking it’s really late. After breakfast, I decided to go back to sleep and while I was reading, (yes, reading), I heard Big Bang’s Love Song come on on TV and my mom said she’d knew I’d come down for that. Ohman. Anyways, fast forward a couple of hours and I was on the way to the grocery store to buy $35 worth of food.

In Asian Food Market, there were no more shopping carts for some reason, so I had to carry around this heavy basket - at the end, I managed to spend $34.63. When I got back to my house, my mom gave me a pack of shrimp and made some fried rice ‘cus she was scared there wouldn’t be enough food for eight people.

I bought:

  • Two packs of noodles
  • Two packs of beef balls
  • One pack of fish balls
  • One pack of cuttlefish balls
  • Two packs of pork slices
  • Lettuce
  • Two packs of etokitake mushrooms
  • One pack of wontons
  • One pack of tofu

I sat around at home waiting for everyone to come - when it suddenly started thunder storming. I pick the best days to have hangouts, if anyone hasn’t yet noticed.

Meredith was the first to arrive, she had an umbrella and got a ride from her dad. About ten or fifteen minutes later, Reylyn came. Neriel, David, Sharon and Amy all ran through the rain. They were all soaking wet, but I gave them my swim towel, even though I just washed it. While sitting around, and I suppose, drying off, the five of them (included Reylyn) tried to complete my Coke puzzle. In total, we probably only found about five or six pieces.

There was this weird moment where, David, Sharon, Melodie, and Reylyn somehow ran up into my room looking for Monopoly and Neriel said something like, “I haven’t played Monopoly in ten years. I’m not even serious.” I’m just going to skip over this. .___. When we came down, Meredith and Neriel were camwhoaring with each other.

^Photo taken by Meredith - I’m pretty sure. It’s pretty funny how people mysteriously use my camera and when I look at the end of the day, I find so many random pictures. The sky was so nice, even though it just stormed.

We started eating around 5:30PM ish, give or take. I think it was ‘cus we didn’t really have anything left to do and people were just sitting around taking pictures.

Like this:

I think my mom moved the sofa so we actually had enough seats.

There was a point where, the gas ran out and we had to relocate into my kitchen, but there was a lot of people and we didn’t need to make a lot of trips back and forth to bring everything up.

The light was so much better up here for photos anyways - even though we had to share seats, but it generally had a nice warm feeling around. We had to walk back and forth over the stove to get food. I don’t think we made that big of a mess. My mom was nice enough to wash the dishes this time.

Yeah, we used wooden chopsticks. Easy clean up. :D

Outside, look at dem flowers. Someone suggested we have a deep talk and then someone else asked if we believed in evolution . I THINK we tried going really scientific with it, then I made a pokemon comment and Neriel went on his theory about how our world is just a giant pokeball and all the other parallel universes were other pokeballs. The mosquitoes scared everyone back inside.

All of us went downstairs and continued our “deep talk” which was really only gossip about other people and our classes. I don’t really know what happened, but somehow we ended up going outside to play volleyball. We started on my driveway and slowly moved towards the middle of the street and tried to keep it out of the water. There was this suspenseful moment when David tried to save the ball and he bumped it really high and it went above someone’s yard and we couldn’t do anything but watch…it hit the fence and bounce back onto the street. Such a dramatic moment, and the laughs we had when the ball was retrieved. Later on, Sharon bumped the ball a bit strangely or something and it went backwards. It barely grazed a car when the alarm went off and everyone just ran towards my door. Chaos kind of ensued trying to get in and David ran into the stairs and Melodie plopped onto the floor. Fortunately, it wasn’t up to Reylyn to open the door this time, otherwise, we all would’ve been waiting forever…awkwardly.

After laughing for a few minutes, Neriel really needed to go to his comic book store and we thought we would take a walk around Western Beef. Nothing there, we came back and picked a movie to watch. On Reylyn’s netflix account, there was Howl’s Moving Castle. The general story became Ms. Labora’s path to becoming a chemistry teacher, since we made Sophie = Ms. Labora, the Witch of the Waste also looked similar to Ms. Levina. I made three packs of popcorn - David never made popcorn before and he was thoroughly fascinated by the process. We didn’t get to finish the movie since Meredith’s dad came and she, Neriel, and David went home. For the rest of the time, we just hung around facebook. Whaaaat a good, loud day.
